True Blue Animal Rescue (T-BAR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill organization founded in 2004 that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes abandoned, abused, and neglected animals, including cats, dogs, and horses. Operating entirely through a network of volunteer foster homes in the Brenham and Washington County area of Texas, T-BAR prepares companion felines for loving forever families through comprehensive veterinary care and spay/neuter programs.
$75 donation fee for cats and kittens
Adopters must complete an application, agree to provide proper veterinary care, and ensure animals are kept in safe home environments. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed prior to adoption, or provided with a voucher if too young at placement.
Prospective adopters request and submit a Foster/Adopt application by emailing help@t-bar.org. Because T-BAR operates without a physical shelter, meet-and-greets are coordinated directly with foster caregivers by appointment once applications are reviewed and approved.
The organization is a foster-based, no-kill rescue with limited capacity. Owner surrenders or community personal rescues require officer approval, and community admissions require an intake fee of $150 per cat to cover medical evaluation, vaccinations, and deworming. T-BAR always welcomes back any previously adopted animal.
