Pet Haven of Minnesota is a 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats across Minnesota. Founded in 1952, the organization places all animals into loving foster homes, provides in-house veterinary and behavioral care, and supports community spay/neuter initiatives to combat pet homelessness.

Areas served Minnesota, primarily within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities metro area (and up to 250 miles with approval and satellite partnerships).
Adopting

Fees, requirements & process

Adoption fees vary depending on the age of the animal and include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccinations.

Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and submit an online application. Pet Haven performs public records searches on all applicants and requires a virtual or in-person home visit. Adopters must be able to travel to the Twin Cities metro area for meet-and-greets and adoption pick-up.

How it works

1. View adoptable cats online or meet them at adoption events/partner locations. 2. Submit an online Cat Adoption Application. 3. Participate in a volunteer follow-up and schedule a meet and greet (virtual, in-home, at an adoption event, or at their facility). 4. Complete a virtual or in-person home visit. 5. Sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
