Almost Home Animal Rescue League is a foster-based, 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue dedicated to finding permanent homes for homeless dogs and cats. Founded on a pure 'never kill' philosophy, the organization provides medical care, foster placement, and adoption services for companion animals. They serve prospective adopters within the state of Michigan located within a 50-mile radius.
Cats: $200 – $250 for adult cats; $250 for kittens
Applicants must be at least 23 years of age, live in the state of Michigan within a 50-mile radius, and have household agreement. Out-of-state adoptions and fostering are not permitted.
Interested adopters begin by submitting an online adoption application or completing one at an off-site adoption event. Applications are reviewed on a 'best fit' basis rather than first-come, first-served. Once an application is approved, a private meeting is arranged with the animal in foster care.
To surrender a pet, owners must email info@almosthomeanimals.org with photos, veterinary and medical history (vaccination and spay/neuter status), temperament details around children and other animals, and an explanation for the surrender. Surrenders are accepted on a limited, foster-capacity basis.
