Cats Eye Society is a cat rescue based in Spokane, Washington that gives special-needs cats a chance at a good life. Among the cats in its care is Serafina, born with spina bifida to a community cat in Jersey City, who found her way to the sanctuary through a network of dedicated cat people and now spends her days watching birds and playing with her buddies Mariel and Pearl. Mariel, who was born with deformed hind limbs, and her sister Pearl both came from the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County. Cats Eye Society is currently fundraising to help open a cat sanctuary.
