Pet Helpers Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer, foster-based rescue based in Fairmont, West Virginia, dedicated to helping homeless and medically needy companion animals. Operating without a physical facility, their network of volunteer foster homes cares for rescued cats and dogs until adoption. They also provide low- and no-cost spay and neuter services to pet owners across Marion and Taylor County through the Peterman Foundation grant.
Kittens and Cats: $100 (includes spay/neuter, routine vaccines, two rounds of dewormer, FeLV/FIV test, and microchip). Puppies (<1 yr): $250. Adult dogs (>1 yr): $225.
Applicants must be able to travel to West Virginia for pickup, demonstrate the financial capability to provide routine and emergency vet care, provide landlord contact info and proof of pet approval if renting, and ensure all existing household pets are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered.
Complete the adoption application online or return it by email. Animals live in foster homes in West Virginia, and approved applicants must travel there to collect their pet; the rescue does not ship or transport animals. Pets over five months are spayed or neutered before adoption. For younger pets, the rescue schedules surgery with a local veterinarian, and the adopter must take the pet to that appointment.
