BBHQ Midweek Highlights: Weather, Dahlias, and Snowie

Bionic Basil’s Blog reports a busy week at BBHQ, with changing weather, a favorite dahlia, and updates on the resident cats.
The weather has been varied: it is raining, with intermittent showers, and the week began with a sunny Caturday. Sunday was sunny but cooler with a breeze, Monday was dull and rainy, and yesterday saw sun, clouds, and rain. Today’s forecast calls for clouds and sun, and temperatures remain in the high teens.
A standout flower this week is a lilac-pink dahlia that blooms in mid to late September and also comes in a red variety. The dahlia’s petals are described as an architectural masterpiece.
In the kitchen, Parsley enjoyed solo snack time, eating as much as he liked without interference from Fudge. Smooch inspected the catmint after the P.A. gave it a summer haircut; the catmint is now ready for taste testing, with the P.A. planning to hand-feed individual leaves.
Melvyn supervised a nap that began after the P.A. was exhausted, and later that evening she was awake and feeling refreshed. Snowie, a pure-white cat with golden citrine eyes and thick, dense fur, was featured in a photo. She loves being brushed with a pet mitt and follows a “3 Pat Rule” to avoid extra strokes. Snowie is known as the Cushion Queen, nesting behind the P.A. on the sofa, and is missed daily at BBHQ.
Amber will return on Friday with another book review, and links to the B Team’s Selfie, Melvyn’s Mewsings Ep 9, and other posts are available.
