Two weeks old, Hurri, Cane, and Rachel were found soaked and dangerously cold after heavy rains. Rescue workers at Karlee’s Angels quickly placed the kittens in a heated enclosure and started antibiotics to address possible respiratory complications. Over the next few days each kitten lost between 25 and 50 grams of weight while struggling to feed. At about 3 a.m., all three began taking their bottles, a sign that the antibiotics were helping and that the kittens were becoming more active.

The rescue was able to provide intensive care thanks to the iHeartCats Purrfect Start Program. The program supplies rescue organizations with kitten milk replacer, nursing bottles, feeding syringes, blankets, and other necessities. These donated items reduce the financial burden on rescues and allow them to focus resources on urgent veterinary treatment.

iHeartCats Hero VIP Club members and shoppers support the program by purchasing participating products, which helps deliver much-needed supplies to neonatal kitten care teams.
