Alley Cat Allies recently shared several uplifting stories about cats that received veterinary help and found new homes. The organization highlighted the friendship between Neo and Cricket, the recovery of a kitten family, and the adoption of two older cats.

Neo and Cricket’s Healing Bond

Cricket was rescued along with more than 90 other cats and kittens from a cramped and unsanitary small home. He had carpal laxity, which prevented him from standing straight on his front legs, and a chronic stomach issue that put him at risk of dehydration. Neo was brought to a veterinary clinic with a massive wound on his face, which eventually healed to a scar. When the two cats met, they took to each other right away and were mutually grooming and purring in no time. Cricket’s bold and gregarious personality helped Neo feel comfortable and safe.

Kitten Family and Older Cats

A kitten family-Cotton, Almond, Churro, and Creamsicle-were treated for upper respiratory infections and are still on the road to recovery. They will be moved to loving forever homes once ready, and they are staying with their mother, Strawberry, for the best possible care. Hemingway has been adopted into a loving home, and Hazel, after at least one pregnancy, is ready to retire. Hazel also served as the “Office Manager” of the veterinary clinic, greeting visitors and making inspection rounds.
