Established in 2007, Almost Home Animal Rescue & Adoption, Inc. is a no-kill nonprofit organization based in Long Island, New York. Run by dedicated volunteers, the rescue works to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and displaced pets while assisting families through its preventative Training Wheels® program and low-cost veterinary clinic.

The organization accepts owner surrenders of dogs, rabbits, small animals, birds, and exotics via online forms. Stray dogs and cats are not accepted. For cat surrenders, owners are referred to their sister rescue, Hearts of Love Cat Rescue.
