Brookhaven Animal Rescue League (BARL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization dedicated to bettering the lives of companion animals. Operating without government funding, BARL provides sheltering, discounted spay and neuter services, adoption placement, and Home to Home rehoming assistance for both cats and dogs.
$85 for cats, $100 for dogs
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, complete an application, provide valid photo identification, and pay the adoption fee.
Prospective adopters can view adoptable pets online or visit the Adoption Center Thursday through Sunday from Noon to 3:00 p.m. (or by appointment), complete an adoption application and contract, provide photo ID, and pay the adoption fee.
Facilitates rehoming through their Home to Home program to prevent adoptable animals from experiencing the adjustment of staying at the shelter.
