Ready for Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization based in New York City dedicated to saving cats and dogs from local streets and municipal shelters. Founded by Doug Halsey, the rescue focuses on helping sick, injured, senior animals, and those at risk on euthanasia lists by providing medical care and placing them into foster homes until adoption.
