Cat Utopia is a nonprofit working to reduce unwanted cat populations in Eastern Oregon through spay/neuter, adoption and education. It focuses on stray and abandoned animals with the greatest needs, providing sterilization, socialization and medical treatment. Cats are adopted or, when feral, returned outdoors.
Vet reference requested if available; landlord approval checked for renters.
Most adoptions are finalized before cats arrive at their Petco adoption location; complete an application (can sometimes be done verbally) and they call for an interview.
$90 for an adult cat and $115 for a kitten, which covers spay/neuter, two FVRCP shots, and deworming.
A vet reference is requested if you have one, and renters need landlord approval before adopting.
Most cats are matched and approved before they even arrive at Cat Utopia's Petco adoption location. You fill out an application, which can sometimes be done verbally, and the team follows up with a phone interview.
