No Feline Left Behind in McKean County is affiliated with No Dog Left Behind, based in Kane, Pennsylvania, a group that started out picking up animals from nearby shelters and delivering them to new homes. As the operation grew, the team began transporting 10 to 15 animals at a time using multiple airplanes, packing empty planes with food and supplies for the shelters they served. Through social media, the group began getting requests from across the country to transport rescued animals, and has since flown thousands of them; while the majority are dogs, the team also rescues cats, sea turtles, and the occasional pig or python. The organization is open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
