N Scituate, RI
Founded in 1938 as the Animal Rescue League of Southern Rhode Island, Animal Rescue Rhode Island (ARRI) is dedicated to rescuing companion animals in need and promoting the humane welfare of homeless animals. Operating a limited-admission shelter in Peace Dale, Rhode Island, the organization provides compassionate care, foster placement, and adoption services for approximately 35 cats, 20 dogs, and small animals at any given time. In addition to rescue operations, ARRI serves the community through initiatives such as a pet food pantry, humane education programs, and disaster preparedness resources.
Adoption questionnaire submission; appointments are preferred by calling the shelter.
Adopters can browse available companion animals and submit an adoption questionnaire. While adoption appointments are preferred, walk-ins are also accommodated.
Appointments are required to surrender a pet, typically scheduled between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM by calling 401-783-7606 ext 104. There is a $50 fee for incoming dogs and cats and a $20 fee for small animals, and all animals must be current on rabies vaccination. Because ARRI is a limited-admission, no-kill shelter, space may be subject to a waiting list.
