Meowdog Animal Rescue Inc is a volunteer-based animal rescue organization located in the Mount Pleasant and Awendaw area of South Carolina, dedicated to providing shelter, safety, and medical care to animals in need. The rescue uniquely collaborates with the Veterinary Sciences program at Lucy G. Beckham High School, enabling students to gain hands-on veterinary and socialization experience while rehabilitating dogs and cats. Through foster homes, community volunteers, and veterinary partnerships, Meowdog prepares companion animals for permanent adoptive homes.
$250 for cats, $575 for dogs
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, provide proof of homeownership or landlord approval if renting, provide veterinary references for current pets, supply a personal reference, and agree to a home check or submit photos of the living space.
Submit the online Meet & Greet application (allow up to 72 hours for volunteer review). Once approved, schedule an appointment to meet the animal, then sign the adoption contract and pay the nonrefundable adoption fee.
Meowdog Animal Rescue Inc does not accept public owner surrenders. They only accept returns of animals previously adopted through Meowdog after exploring training and support options.
