Angies Friends Start an adoption application

Angie's Friends is a grassroots 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to aiding neglected, chained, and stray animals across economically depressed neighborhoods in Dallas, Texas. In addition to their dedicated street rescue for dogs, founder Angie Manriquez cares for community feral cats, kittens, and other animals in need. The organization facilitates pet adoptions, provides veterinary care and spay/neuter services, and places rescued companions into loving indoor homes.

Requirements

Adopters must be at least 25 years of age (no full-time students), provide proof of current address and photo ID, and have consent from all household adults. Renters must provide a copy of their pet deposit receipt. Adopters must agree to keep the pet indoors, provide necessary veterinary care/training, allow a home visit and reference checks, and ensure all existing dogs and cats in the household are already spayed or neutered.

How it works

1. Complete the online Adoption Application form. 2. The team reviews and approves the application. 3. Schedule a meet & greet with the pet and complete a home visit to verify a safe living environment. 4. Complete an in-home sleepover trial for up to 2 weeks. 5. Finalize the adoption by providing medical and microchip records upon receiving the nonrefundable $250 adoption fee donation.
