Founded in 2007 by Monique L. Voelker, RN, Animals Abused & Abandoned, Inc. is a Dallas-based nonprofit dedicated to aiding innocent dogs, cats, and horses suffering from traumatic injuries, deliberate abuse, starvation, and illness. The organization makes direct payments to veterinarians and suppliers for emergency medical-surgical care, food supplements, and spay/neuter surgeries to save vulnerable animals and support underserved communities.
Volunteers assist in seeking permanent homes for rescued and rehabilitated animals.
