Animal Resources of Tidewater (ART) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals across the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. Through its SpayHR initiative, ART provides low-cost and free spay/neuter resources for owned pets and community cat Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), alongside community medical assistance grants to help keep cats and dogs in their loving homes.
ART is no longer actively engaged in hands-on rescue and adoption efforts directly, but offers courtesy listings for rescuers and owners to give publicity to adoptable felines, referring prospective adopters to local shelters and rescue groups.
ART does not accept cats or dogs for surrender and does not currently offer foster homes for cats or kittens. They provide guidance and online resources for self-rehoming, as well as courtesy listings.
