Collar of Hope is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) foster-based animal rescue based in Olalla, Washington, serving Kitsap County and surrounding communities. Operating without a physical shelter facility, the organization places rescued dogs and cats into volunteer foster homes where they receive essential medical care, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and love while awaiting permanent adoption.

$100 to $500 (fees vary based on age, breed, and special needs; posted individually on pet bios; payable by cash or check only)

Requirements

Applicants must be approved before a meet and greet and must be ready to adopt immediately; animals are not held for vacations or moves. Requirements include a veterinary reference, two personal references, landlord approval if renting, and a home inspection in person or through photographs. Applicants must travel to Kitsap County for meet and greets. A fenced yard is required for specified restricted dog breeds.

Phone or email interview. 4. Home inspection (via in-person volunteer visit or submission of digital home/yard photos). 5. Meet and greet with all household members. 6. Rescue decision and match approval. 7. Sign adoption contract and pay non-refundable adoption fee (cash or check only). 8. Take your new pet home.
