Rescue Unleashed is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in Sammamish, Washington, dedicated to saving companion animals locally and globally. Applicants living in a rented residence must provide proof of landlord permission (such as a lease copy or landlord letter). Existing pets in the home must be spayed or neutered, and a veterinarian may be contacted to verify that current pets are up to date on vaccines and annual exams.
Interested adopters must submit an online application, which is reviewed by a volunteer adoption coordinator. Applicants receive a confirmation email within 48 hours. Next steps for matched applicants include phone interviews, submitting photos and videos of the home and all areas the pet will access, reference checks, and a meet and greet.
If an adopted pet is not a good fit after a good faith effort in the home, adopters are asked to notify the organization so they can take the animal back into the rescue.
