Founded in 2011, Tender CARE Animal Rescue is a volunteer and foster-based animal rescue serving Vancouver, Washington, and surrounding areas. The organization rescues and rehomes companion animals including cats, kittens, and barn cats through dedicated foster homes and weekend adoption events. Every cat receives veterinary care, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and FeLV/FIV testing before joining a loving family.
Kittens (up to 1 year): $150; Cats (1-7 years): $50; Senior cats (7+ years): $35; Barn cats: $25
Adopters must submit a completed adoption application for review. A free 4-hour temporary hold can be placed via email on pets over 1 year of age (holds are not placed on kittens or puppies).
Interested adopters must complete an Adoption Application and submit it via email, mail, or fax. An adoption counselor reviews the application and contacts the applicant to schedule an interview and meet-and-greet. Since all animals reside in foster homes, meetings are arranged directly or during weekend adoption events.
While formal intake procedures are not detailed, Tender CARE Animal Rescue discloses known medical and behavioral conditions and accepts adopted animals back if their needs exceed what the adoptive family can provide.
