Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter Inc is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter based in Tomah, Wisconsin, dedicated to protecting domestic cats and dogs from suffering and cruelty. The shelter provides cage-free roaming rooms for social felines, medical care, adoption, and foster programs, as well as community TNR and low-cost spay/neuter services when grant funding permits. Serving Monroe County and surrounding areas, CDAS works to ensure every cat receives shelter and loving care until placed into a permanent home.
Cats (>1 yr): $60; Kittens (<1 yr): $100 (sales tax included)
Completion of a cat adoption application. Cats receive spay/neuter surgery, distemper vaccination, deworming, FeLV testing, rabies vaccination (if age-appropriate), and microchipping prior to adoption.
Cats are available for general viewing at the shelter without an appointment during open hours (mostly 11am-3pm). Prospective adopters can download and complete a Cat Application from the shelter's website or contact the shelter directly.
CDAS accepts surrendered dogs and cats as space allows to avoid overcrowding; a surrender donation is encouraged. Because space is limited, they cannot accept every animal needing surrender, but will suggest alternative resources.
