The Second Chance Fund Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Lodi, Wisconsin, dedicated to providing life-saving medical care, rehabilitation, and second chances to companion animals in distress. Working closely with Lodi Veterinary Care, they treat injured and surrendered cats and kittens, such as trauma cases requiring surgery or amputation, before placing them into loving foster and adoptive homes. Their programs serve the Lodi and surrounding south-central Wisconsin communities with medical rescue, foster care, and adoption services.
$100 for a cat ($200 for dogs)
Completion and submission of an Adoption Application; adopters must be prepared to provide a committed forever home. If an adopted pet is not the right fit, it must be returned within two weeks from the adoption date.
Interested adopters must complete the Adoption Application form (available as a downloadable PDF) and submit it via email to info@thesecondchancefund.org or by mail to 705 N Main St, Lodi, WI 53555. If approved, placement arrangements are coordinated. Adoptions include a two-week trial period during which the pet may be returned if it is not a good fit.
Owners seeking admission for an animal in need of critical medical treatment must submit an Application for Admission or call (608) 592-3232. There is a $100 surrender fee for owner surrenders. The program is designed as an alternative to euthanasia for treatable, adoptable pets and requires complete surrender of the animal; original owners are not eligible to re-adopt the animal later.
