The Lost Companion Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to managing the health, population, and quality of life of feral, stray, and barn cats in Waushara County, Wisconsin. Founded in 2006, the organization focuses on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives while also rescuing, fostering, and adopting out socialized cats and kittens into loving homes.
$125 for one cat/kitten, or $225 for two (includes spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccinations, FeLV/FIV testing, de-worming, ear mite, and flea treatments)
Adoptions are approved based on finding the best fit for the cat to ensure a lifelong home. Adopters must schedule an appointment in advance for meet and greets.
Interested adopters must complete an online adoption application. Meet and greets at the adoption center are scheduled by appointment only, where staff introduce available cats and discuss each animal's health and behavior. Adoptions are processed to find the best match rather than on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Lost Companion cannot accept owned pets surrendered by the public, as their mission is focused on feral, stray, unowned, and barn cat populations.
