Finally Home Animal Rescue is a foster-based rescue organization dedicated to the welfare, rescue, and adoption of cats in Brecksville, Ohio and surrounding communities. Operating entirely through volunteer foster homes, they focus on placing rescued felines into permanent homes while providing lifelong support to their adopters.
Generally $150 per cat / $225 for 2 cats (fees may vary by pet)
Applicants must be at least 18 years old (application notes age 20 requirement), provide three personal references (at least two non-family members), provide veterinary history showing current pets are vaccinated and altered, and provide landlord approval/lease provisions if renting. All human household members must attend the foster home meet and greet.
Applicants submit an online adoption application, which undergoes review and reference checks (taking up to 7 days). Once approved, a meet and greet is scheduled at the foster's home with all household members required to attend. If both parties agree it is a good match, the adopter signs an adoption contract and pays the adoption fee.
Adopters make a lifetime commitment and are required to return the animal to Finally Home Animal Rescue if they can ever no longer care for it. Animals may never be turned over to another shelter unless required by law.
