Saving Lives Animal Rescue of Stanislaus County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, foster-based animal rescue dedicated to saving homeless dogs and cats from local shelters and communities that might otherwise face euthanasia. The organization provides complete medical care, spay/neuter services, and microchipping while promoting community Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and humane education. They also offer community assistance foster-to-adopt programs and place working barn cats in suitable rural homes.
Adopters of barn cats must be able to provide shelter (barns, outbuildings, or warehouses), food, water, and veterinary care.
Cats and dogs can be met at PetSmart adoption events or viewed online via Adopt-A-Pet, with meetings arranged by appointment.
Through their Community Assistance Program, individuals who need to rehome a pet or who found a stray can continue fostering the animal while the rescue provides vaccinations, microchips, deworming, flea preventatives, discounted spay/neuter, and online adoption placement.
