Second Chance Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected, and unwanted animals and placing them into permanent, loving homes. Based in Johnstown, Ohio, the rescue cares for both cats and dogs across Licking, Franklin, and Delaware counties. All rescued animals receive veterinary examinations, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services prior to adoption.

Applicants must complete an adoption application, be approved by the Adoption Coordinator, and agree to provide a safe, permanent indoor home with proper veterinary care.
Interested adopters must complete an adoption application. The Adoption Coordinator reviews each application and conducts an evaluation before notifying applicants of the decision and arranging a meet-and-greet.
