Friends of Westerly Animal Shelter Inc (operating as Stand Up For Animals) is a non-profit organization incorporated in 2002 that operates a 7,200 sq-ft animal shelter, adoption center, and wellness clinic in Westerly, Rhode Island. In cooperation with the Town of Westerly, the organization provides animal sheltering, low-cost veterinary wellness and spay/neuter services, pet food assistance, and Trap-Neuter-Release-Monitor (TNRM) programs. Their mission is to promote the health and welfare of regional animals while supporting and educating the people who care for them.
Animals are made available for adoption after being health-checked, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
