Critter Haven Animal Rescue is a 100% no-kill, volunteer-run, foster-based rescue organization serving Harlan County, Kentucky, and surrounding areas. Dedicated to saving and rehoming abandoned and unwanted animals, they take in a variety of pets including cats, dogs, and small critters. Because they operate without a physical facility, all rescued animals are placed with temporary foster families until they find their forever homes.
Applicants must complete all portions of the adoption application truthfully. Critter Haven Rescue does not ship animals under any circumstances.
Interested adopters must complete a comprehensive online adoption application. All questions must be answered truthfully, and incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption approval.
They accept abandoned and unwanted animals of various types, operating as a no-kill rescue. Any animal unable to be adopted to the public due to aggression or species type remains with the rescue or is placed in an appropriate sanctuary.
