Second Chance Animal Rescue

Second Chance Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer foster network dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting out homeless cats and dogs. Based in Minnesota, the organization places animals in experienced volunteer foster homes rather than a physical facility to ensure individualized care, socialization, and thoughtful lifetime matches. They also educate the public on animal welfare and the importance of spaying and neutering.

Hours Adoptable animals can be visited in foster homes 7 days a week; adoption events held periodically on Saturdays from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Areas served White Bear Lake, Roseville, and surrounding Minnesota communities

Fees, requirements & process

Requirements

Potential adopters are carefully screened by counselors and foster volunteers to ensure the right match for both the family and the animal.

How it works

Interested adopters can view available cats on Petfinder or call 651-771-5662. Adoptable cats can be visited in their foster homes 7 days a week or met at periodic adoption events at local pet supply stores. Adoption counselors provide a careful assessment of health, temperament, and behavior to make the right match, and the foster parent helps complete the adoption paperwork.
