Tiny Cat Animal Rescue

Tiny Cat Animal Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of cats living on the streets of Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. The organization works to reduce the number of cats currently living outdoors and to prevent more cats from ending up there in the first place, all through a network of volunteer foster homes rather than a physical shelter. The adoption fee is $200, and prospective adopters can typically arrange to meet a cat as part of the adoption process before deciding. The team is reachable Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and closed on weekends. Tiny Cat Animal Rescue also accepts applications for fostering and adoption online, welcomes donations to support its work, and has a process in place for owner surrenders.
